The rapidly changing games industry has influenced the latest digital marketing trends and is one of the few industries with the potential to reach 2 billion worldwide. The Amazon Games Performance Marketing Team is seeking a talented Sr. Growth Marketing Manager to lead paid media and acquisition, CRM, funnel optimization, and referrals to grow our gaming communities. This key role will provide the right candidate the opportunity to own the growth P&L and contribute to building a business from the ground up in a true startup environment. Success in this role requires displaying a relentless hands on approach to driving continuous improvement, including optimizing budgets, channels, creative, markets, and platforms to accelerate player growth at scale at a positive ROAS. You are creative, yet technical, and have shown the ability to identify new growth channels and implement the smallest hacks. You love data and are comfortable working with designers, engineers, and product managers to get things done.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Obsess over customers and how to maximize game acquisition across all paid and unpaid growth channels.
- Drive new customer acquisition by designing, implementing, and scaling paid marketing campaigns across all major and emerging advertising channels for each title.
- Drive, lead and monitor A/B and multivariate tests to optimize conversions and other performance marketing metrics.
- Contribute to the ad creative process & drive creative performance learnings.
- Be confident managing customer data to build new and unique segments.
- Set KPIs and review performance and insights for paid media campaigns with the marketing team and senior management as necessary.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness for producing measurement analysis for unconventional growth initiatives.
- Collaborate and build relationships with marketing and advertising teams across Amazon.
- Own all administrative responsibilities including legal approvals and payments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the global games market, player acquisition trends, and competitive landscape.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of paid media management experience including working with variable budgets, leading global campaigns at scale, and managing spend against customer value.
- 2+ years working with internal Amazon buying tools and data systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital marketing expertise, including growing social channels, implementing high impact A/B tests, and driving creative asset pipeline.
- Proven analytical skills, comfortable working in data-driven business environments, and ability to solve ambiguous problems.
- Demonstrated ability to discover and articulate business insight, provide well-structured data to support hypothesis, and analyze results.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, always changing environment.
- History of hiring, managing, and training teams in high-performing cultures.
- Experience with statistical modeling and SQL or other relational database languages.
- Masters in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Love playing games.
