The Amazon Game Tech team is looking for a customer obsessed, creative, and experienced Sr. Business Analyst to help guide us, advise marketing and product teams, and deliver the best possible results for our game developers. The role is critical to the marketing organization and will serve as an adviser to Game Tech leadership. You will immerse yourself in massive data repositories, work backwards from the customer to derive meaningful insights, help the team road map (product and marketing), and drive massive customer/business impact. You will scale your impact and build self-serve tools and dashboards to provide performance indicators for your marketing and business peers so they can better connect and serve customers.

Your day to day:

  • Work directly with senior management to analyze data and produce tangible insights that guide our roadmap.
  • Provide data and analytics to marketing team for ongoing business cadence, planning, forecasting, and campaigns.
  • Build scale-able and self-service analytical approaches and models that can be used by the marketing team for analyzing the impact of on-going marketing programs.
  • Manage ad hoc projects, as well as define and deliver ongoing dashboards, reports & metrics to provide actionable insights to inform marketing and product strategy
  • Develop new techniques to process large data sets, address quantitative problems, and recommend white spaces for experimentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines
  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or comparable statistical analysis role
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, data warehousing, statistical analysis tools, MS Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or QuickSight; extracting and processing data using SQL and Excel
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced technical or business degree (MS or MBA)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
  • Understanding of data modeling
  • Strong background in statistics methodology, applications to business problems, and/or big data.
  • Experience in scripting languages (python) for parsing and data analysis.
  • Experience with one or more of the statistical modeling languages/ toolboxes (R, SAS).
  • Experience of business intelligence reporting tools (OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, or MicroStrategy).
  • Experience using test / control methodology, and using machine learning techniques
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
