    What you'll do:
  • Design, develop and maintain game user interfaces using high quality C++ code and Unreal Blueprint (UMG)
  • Work with designers and artists to ensure user interfaces are unobtrusive and work as a player would expect them to, while guiding them into more advanced gameplay.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems that affect the quality of life for players and other developers.
  • Be an advocate for players and developers: Insist on the highest standards, drive to operational excellence, help create functional and engaging customer-centric features.
    Our product is an unannounced game built by a team with veterans from many popular titles like EverQuest, PlanetSide, H1Z1, and Free Realms.
  • Come join our passionate team in San Diego and help make the next game everyone will be downloading to their PCs, phones, tablets and consoles!
  • Remote workers will be considered.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of experience implementing game user interfaces (samples preferred).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passion for video games.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine's Blueprint and UMG UI layer.
  • Capable of quick prototyping and rapid iteration to find the fun.
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems.
  • Practical experience with software engineering best-practices and a strong desire to create quality solutions and designs.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
