What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and support user interface architectures in C++ and Unreal UMG that allow UI designers to highly scalable tools and online services using high quality C++, Go, and Python on the AWS cloud and using Unreal engine.
  • Work with content creators to construct tools that ensure gameplay and UI frameworks are easy to extend and maintain.
  • Monitor, measure, and improve UI performance, stability and developer iteration time.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems that affect the quality of life for players, localization teams and other developers.
  • Be an advocate for players and developers: Insist on the highest standards, drive to operational excellence, help create functional and engaging customer-centric features.

Our product is an unannounced game built by a team with veterans from many popular titles like EverQuest, PlanetSide, H1Z1, and Free Realms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
  • At least one shipped title on which you were a primary contributor to UI
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Skilled in communication and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, artists, testers, and other developers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passion for video games.
  • Experience using Unreal engine
  • Experience working on multi-discipline teams
  • Experience building user interface architecture to allow rapid iteration, high visual quality, high performance, and maintainability.
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D math.
  • 4+ years of game development experience with multiple shipped titles.
  • Experience building accessibility into game interfaces.
  • Experience working on large scale, commercial online game services.
