What You'll Do

  • Design, develop and support highly scalable tools and online services using high quality C++ and Python on the AWS cloud and using Unreal engine.
  • Monitor, measure, and improve server deployments for online multiplayer games to improve the customer experience and make internal workflows efficient.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems that affect the quality of life for players, operations, and other developers.
  • Be an advocate for players and developers: Insist on the highest standards, drive to operational excellence, help create functional and engaging customer-centric features.

Our product is an unannounced game built by a team with veterans from many popular titles like EverQuest, PlanetSide, H1Z1, and Free Realms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
  • At least one shipped game titles on which you were a contributor on online services.
  • Experience with modern AWS cloud services.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, artists, testers, and other developers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A passion for video games.
  • Experience using Unreal engine.
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D math.
  • Experience working on large scale, commercial online game services.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
