As AWS continues to rapidly grow, we are looking for a senior leader to own, operate and define strategy for our fast-growing Americas Games business. As the Americas Games Sales Leader, you will lead a team of 50-60 sales and technical professionals to deliver customer obsessed outcomes in a highly valued industry. With customers ranging from mobile, free to play, gambling, console and more, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing inputs from these diverse customers, your team, and AWS functional business partners (including Marketing, Partner, Professional Services, Training & Certification, Enterprise Support, and the Service teams) to drive a holistic go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our customers. As a member of the Americas Leadership Team you will implement those best practices with your peers to drive a consistent and well-thought-out business strategy that will help our Games customers in their journey to the cloud and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

The Games Industry is going through a rapid growth and diversification in getting games in the hands of players. In this role you will lead and influence your team to help customers reach the next billion players. You will be responsible for developing and inspiring people, evangelizing cloud computing, driving revenue and user adoption while working in a vertical focused on entertainment and fun.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proven history of adhering to high standards and using good judgment
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed GTM Strategy to achieve customer business outcomes
  • Drive revenue and market share through meeting and exceeding revenue targets while building an operating foundation for a long-term business
  • Demonstrate a history of executing complex deals
  • Build, develop, and inspire a highly skilled Sales Team
  • Build and leverage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to further the adoption of AWS services in the market in service of customer success
  • Develop and execute against a set of goals to incubate and drive long term strategy to expand into sub industries such as Gambling, Technology Partners, Game Development, and Latin America
  • Partner with Sales Operations to manage the business from key strategic priorities through to the day to day execution including forecast and pipeline management

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Games industry experience
  • 10+ years of technology-related sales leadership
  • 10+ years of successful people management and development
  • BA/BS degree required or equivalent


Bonus

  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Previous experience in new market entry a plus
