Head Rocket League Coach
Alvernia University (Reading, Pennsylvania) is accepting applications for the position of Head Rocket League Coach. This position is part-time with the option for remote work.
The Head Rocket League Coach will work with the Director of Esports to build a comprehensive and competitive Rocket League program.
Compensation
$3,000 annual
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating the vision and roadmap for a competitive Rocket League program.
- Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of games and practices (varsity, academy, and club/intramural).
- Assist in the scouting and recruiting of student-athletes.
- Assist in adhering to the regulations of the leagues and tournaments the team will be competing in or associated with.
Qualifications
- Prior experience competing or coaching Rocket League at the Grand Champ or Super Sonic Legend level.
- Prior experience competing or coaching in collegiate Rocket League.
- Prior experience coaching players of a variety of skill levels.
- Prior experience recruiting players for competitive teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coaching experience.
The successful candidate will display a record of accomplishment “in game” as well as “out of game” having served as a mentor and coach to successful student-athletes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate and be able to communicate a commitment to the mission and core values and goals of Alvernia University. Strong organizational, supervisory, and team-building capabilities are required.
