We are looking for motivated and committed Overwatch content creator (writer) who wants to building their brand and gain valuable experience working in the esports industry. As an Akshon Esports content creator, you will be working with passionate and talented producers as well as other writers in addition to developers, players, team owners among others to produce your content pieces.

You will be working in a fun, interactive startup working environment where you get to experience the growth and make key decisions for the company.

Your responsibilities:

• Primarily create engaging content (articles, opinion pieces, interviews etc) for the Overwatch readership
• Pitch original content ideas that align with the Akshon Esports brand
• Assist in community engagement through social media channels and Discord
• Willingness to learn and expand into other areas of Esports content creation

Requirements:

• Expertise and strong familiarity with the Competitive Overwatch scene
• Previous experience as a news editor and/or writer in a post-secondary or professional news setting is a plus
• Proficiency with the English language
• Excellent communication skills; ability to be impactful in a large environment
• Ability to write and edit in a modern, creative style
• Good ability to comfortably analyze and discuss competitive Overwatch gameplay and associated concepts
• Good ability to discuss and pitch design options
• Understanding of online community guidelines (Twitter/Reddit) and best practices preferred
• Understanding of Korean Overwatch and the Korean language is a plus
