ABOUT THE COMPANY:

YOUR ROLE:

As a Senior Game Designer, you have a strong grasp on game systems, gameplay and mechanics.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Design Director to flesh out the core of the game
  • When required, Lead game design on projects by defining the overall scope with Producer and Project Managers
  • Handle and schedule multiple priorities when designing
  • Create detailed design documents with relevant mockups and UI wireframes
  • Regularly iterate designs based on feedback and team reviews
  • Act as a mentor and provide guidance to other designers on the team, helping them grow
  • Analyze and reverse-engineer game designs and features to deliver competitor analysis
  • Work in close collaboration with creative and tech teams from start to finish

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to split work efficiently when working on more than 1 project
  • Work with the design team on game pitches and presentations
  • Mission Design and side missions (that go hand in hand with the overarching narrative)
  • Help Design Director with creating a growth plan for other game and level designer

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE ALSO HAS ONE MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Strong fundamentals in gameplay, systems and mechanics
  • Open world game design experience
  • Fighting and or Combat game systems experience
  • Strong UX and UI skillsets
  • Ability to work on world-building and lore around the levels and scenarios
  • Narrative Design, create characters on a narrative level. Create a story structure, synopsis and dialogues.
  • An eye for cinematic direction
  • Motivation to learn German.

YOU HAVE:

  • 8+ years of experience in Game Design
  • Gaming is a passion
  • Love analyzing games and learning from them
  • A constant drive to improve quality
  • Familiarity with Photoshop or any other 2D graphics editors
  • Hands-on experience with game engines like Unreal or Unity

YOU ARE:

  • Self-motivated, self-directed and reliable
  • Able to act as a role model and promote healthy work culture by helping the team spirit and tying the team together in difficult times
  • Able to act as a motivator for other departments by sharing your passion and energy
  • An excellent communicator
  • Understands the importance of iterations in the design process
  • Experienced with efficient workflows, tools & development processes
  • Eager to learn/research multiple new tools and come up with creative solutions.
  • Able to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from the team, open to critique.
  • Confident with English communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Happy to work in our team in Munich (Germany).
