Adventure Box has a grand vision: to become the global leading platform for the creation and sharing of user generated games and content. This journey started in 2014 and is now at the cusp of securing a major foothold in this huge market. Adventure Box patented streaming technology makes the act of creating, sharing and playing 3D games online easy and accessible to all. This has enabled the company to launch new business and monetization models in 2020 – video adverts as well as an in-game currency, BUX. Adventure Box offers a marketplace for gamers where they can trade, sell and purchase game components. Revenue share and subscription models are about to be introduced.

Adventure Box (ADVBOX) is traded on NASDAQ First North Growth Market and has recently secured a directed new share issue which will enable the planned expansion. The company today consists of 15 employees but is planned to grow to 25 in Q1 2021.

YOUR ROLE

Adventure box is about to start an exciting journey. We believe you want to be part of that journey together with our team. This role is based in Stockholm but involves a diverse team from all around the world. Adventure Box has offices and coworkers in Paris, Seville, Malta and Kerala (India)

Overall responsibilities and tasks

  • Responsible for a development of the finance function that manages planned growth.
  • As part of the management team, contribute to the development of the entire business.
  • Overall responsible for accounting, financial statements/year end/quarterly reports to Nasdaq and financial reporting in accordance with Nasdaq’s guidelines.
  • Assist the CEO in strategic matters and assist with decision-making to management and the board.
  • Independently work with economic and financial issues such as cash flow analysis, revenue forecasting, profitability, capital structure, working capital, etc.
  • Great focus will be on developing secure systems for the various revenue streams and revenue sharing
  • Budget and forecasting, business controlling
  • Be responsible for company formalities, banking and corporate law.
  • Responsible for selected HR-related issues within and outside Sweden
  • Responsibility for office-related agreements with suppliers
  • Lead the work of accounting consultants (outsourced partner)
  • Support the CEO with IR issues
  • Together with the CEO, be responsible for the company following MAR (insider rules).
  • You report to the company’s CEO and are part of the management team together with managers for marketing, development, product management and research.

Who you are:

  • BBA/MBA or other relevant education and with the following experience:
  • A few years’ experience as CFO with, knowledge in both accounting and financial management.
  • You have a great interest in developing financial and reporting functions, producing key figures and tools for analysis.
  • Experience from listed companies is an advantage, as is experience from companies with a similar business model.
  • Experience from a small entrepreneurial company in growth
  • Your Swedish and English are fluent in speech and writing and if you speak Spanish or French it might come in handy!

You are driven and convincing and will cooperate smoothly with everyone in the company – different cultures and personalities. You are business-oriented and interested in building a strong business culture together with management. You have the courage to challenge and a desire for continuous improvement. Of course – as the ultimate responsible for the finance function of a listed company, it is important that you are reliable and accurate – quality-conscious in what you do for and with high level of integrity.
