Your Mission

Welcome to Solid State Studios! We’re a new in-house studio within Activision, dedicated to developing the best AAA mobile games in the world. Our first project is the AAA mobile hit Call of Duty: Mobile, which generated over $1 billion in consumer spending in 2021. We are looking for great talent who are passionate about their work and share our belief in what AAA experiences on mobile can and should be. Your Profile

As Senior Product Manager: Monetization, you are responsible for the design and execution of our overall monetization strategy for Call of Duty: Mobile. You will work with analysts and researchers to improve our understanding of the main factors that drive appeal of our in-game content (e.g. skins, weapons, operators). You’ll use these insights to help build a roadmap with improvements to monetization systems, and iterate on frameworks for how we decide the monetization content to create. You’ll lead our IP licensing strategy, working with others at Activision to identify and sign potential partnerships, and will also own our strategy around third party payments. You will report to the Director of Product, who leads the Call of Duty: Mobile product team, and will manage an Associate Product Manager.

Main Mission

  • Improve our understanding of the drivers behind the appeal of our in-game content by partnering with analysts and researchers, and by digging into dashboards and data

  • Use learnings to define and improve our overall monetization strategy

  • Build and iterate on frameworks to help decide which content to release each season

  • Identify improvements to existing monetization systems and propose new systems

  • Partner with other Product Managers, Live Operations Specialists, and our development team at Tencent to define our roadmap and execute our strategy

  • Lead IP licensing strategy, partnering with others at Activision to secure deals

  • Lead third party payments strategy

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product management or similar roles

  • Experience creating new or improved product features that drive business outcomes

  • Able to clearly synthesize insights from analysis and research to diagnose root causes of problems

  • Strong structured and critical thinking skills, able to craft a clear and well prioritized strategy and roadmap

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to dig into data to uncover insights, experience with analytical tools like SQL and Tableau preferred

  • Experience designing and running A/B tests

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others

Solid State Studios is an emerging team within Activision Publishing focusing on both publishing and live- operations for Call of Duty Mobile along with our new in-house studio dedicated to the development of AAA mobile titles. Designed around the singular focus of creating the best games in our space, ours is a mobile studio like no other.
