As a member of the Communications team at ABK, the Editor-in-Chief is part of a global function whose priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Conceive and create high-quality branded content
Superior analytical skills and ability to draw insights from data
Able to lead and deliver under tight deadlines
Effectively manage high-pressure issues and crisis situations
Able to filter, prioritize, analyze, validate and solve for, potentially complex in-depth client requests
Manage the writing and editing of branded-content stories, narratives, explainers, video/audio scripts, Mini Story slideshows, podcast ads, display ads, data visualizations and more
Understand different client’s aims and provide editorial solutions that meet client/agency expectations, demonstrating flexibility as preferences shift
Cultivate and manage an expanding network of expert freelance writers, contributors, editors and sources
Assign, schedule and manage a small team of freelance copy editors, ensuring they stay on deadline and within budget
Manage a staff of editors, copywriters, contributors, and copy editors
Provide a clear vision for the editorial voice of Activision Blizzard’s owned media publication & the reporting to support custom content opportunities
With Business Affairs, process freelancer contracts and invoices
Collaborate with director-level peers in Creative Direction, Strategy, Design, Production & Sales
Stay on top of new branded-content trends and strategies
Articulate an overarching narrative that distinguishes ABK’s brands and studios within the evolving entertainment and cultural landscape
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
8+ years experience in a communications role, preferably editorial
A track record of producing high-quality content, with multimedia content production experience a plus
Excellent multi-tasking skills and attention to detail with a high regard for accuracy; able to set own priorities, and work under tight deadline pressure
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; including editing and copywriting
Sharp editorial judgment for crafting content that resonates with target audiences
Strong project management skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
A strategic mindset that will anticipate the needs of partners and work toward the big picture
A passion for internal communications and knowledge of employee engagement trends
A knack for storytelling, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content
A broad network of external contributors and content producers
Extra Points:
Experience in journalism, editing, and/or content marketing
Passion for metrics with a keen ability to identify and action upon opportunities

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $148,320.00 - $274,320.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
