This Role

We are seeking an individual to lead the EMEA/APAC Workplace Operations reporting to Global Head of Workplace. This is a critical role in the realization of the workplace of the future concepts and the effective and efficient operations of Activision’s global portfolio. The Workplace Operations lead will combine a hospitality mentality with flawless execution of Workplace services to enhance the employee experience. This is a key senior role in the Workplace group and a critical element in the delivery of the future workplace for King and Activision Blizzard. The individual will be responsible for the delivery of new building designs and ongoing operations. They will be a key liaison with the franchise business leads to understand their business needs and translate them into executable programs. The successful individual will combine strategic thinking, program management and construction best practices.

The global portfolio is growing and currently consists of 3.0MM square feet of office, game development and studio spaces.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for execution and delivery of Activision’s workplace operations for its EMEA/APAC portfolio.

  • This role will be responsible for developing the standards regarding our operations to be tailored for our different portfolio types and uses – This will need to be done in coordination with the Americas operations lead to optimize our economics globally.

  • This person will be responsible for the management of a team of campus leads across our regional geographies

  • Determine the optimal procurement strategy for regional supplies and services to support our campus operation

  • Manage a team which includes specialist in:

    • Engineering

    • Lease Administration

    • FM Providers

    • Sustainability

  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and insights with regards to workplace strategy and operations best practices

  • Manage ongoing moves, adds and changes to keep our space agile

  • Manage a team, of outsourced and outsourced employees

  • Create a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Develop team of experts for site evaluation criteria and process for global adoption

  • Manage relationships and negotiate service agreements with multiple strategic outsourced providers - This will need to be done in coordination with the Americas operations lead to optimize our economics globally.

  • Work with procurement and Americas lead to develop request for proposals for outside FM and specialized contractor services

  • Partner with key stakeholders to enhance business operations

  • Budget forecasting and management - for individual projects and regional annual operations

  • Incorporate sustainability strategy and best practices into processes

  • Oversee Building operations - knowledge of building systems

  • Knowledge of Health and safety practices in a built environment

  • Supply Chain management for operations

  • Creation of a metrics driven culture

  • Other duties may be assigned

Player Profile

  • Critical thinker with an understanding of program and project management processes

  • Team player who works collaboratively with the breadth of stakeholders required to deliver large projects

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.

  • Experienced in working with senior leaders of an organization

  • Good conflict resolution skills

  • Technical expertise in industry standard project management tools

  • Experience in vendor management and knowledge of best practices across geographies

  • 10+ min years of experience in similar large-scale diverse portfolios and FM management for either directly in a large corporate environment or as an outsourced provider.

  • Educational background in operations, engineering or management

  • Experience in managing mission critical environments

  • Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced staff

  • Prior responsibility for optimizing supply chain for common elements and expense minimization

  • Network of global FM partners and specialist subcontractors

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, open, collaborative environment

  • High degree of flexibility and the ability to collaborate, problem solve and multi-task.

  • Ability to adapt to change when necessary.
