Your Mission

Activision Publishing is currently looking for an Executive Producer to join the Mobile Team for a new title. As Executive Producer you drive the coordination of delivery and multi-team, multi-location development of our mobile games. You are an integral part of the team’s leadership, working closely with each team, studio and service organization to identify needs and utilize resources efficiently and appropriately. We’re looking for a critical-thinking Executive Producer to assist with technical and creative planning and prioritization, multi-team coordination, risk management, tracking and communication. This role supports internal and external development teams to ensure they are focused, well-organized, well-informed and well-resourced to deliver great work.

Your role will require you to be a fantastic communicator. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with all degrees of ownership, from personally deconstructing a single feature to high-level or detailed planning for a team of 200. You must be able to thrive in a challenging, fast paced environment and be adept at ensuring clarity of team, schedule, and budget.

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Drive development planning and execution for large AAA multi-team projects; hold teams accountable for meeting milestone commitments and quality targets
  • Fallback planning for evolving situations and quick identification of emerging risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project and studio leadership to evaluate trade-offs among scope, time-to-market, and quality.
  • Proactively identify and assess risks in technology, timeline, staffing and integration, and effective direction of individual teams to overcome or mitigate.
  • Synthesize design vision, technology constraints and opportunities, and product goals into a plan and schedule for software deliveries and releases with meaningful increments in value
  • Anticipate, discover, confront, and resolve problems and unexpected dependencies.
  • Close the loop with stakeholders, sharing progress and setting expectations.
  • Develop team-wide processes that foster excellent communication and strong development practices.
  • Drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking to reduce waste and increase predictability.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years game industry experience
  • 2+ years of development experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing artists, designers and engineers
  • Experience running teams under a variety of agile and fixed-time development processes
  • Able to facilitate brainstorming and mediate decision making for a team of enthusiastic developers and leads
  • Experience managing very large cohesive, creative teams across multiple locations.
  • Able to work with strong, adaptable creative leaders and find ways to implement their vision.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused
  • Multiple shipped high profile titles in leadership positions.
  • Experience with second level people management.
  • Strong project management fundamentals including capacity planning, scope assessment and management, and project milestone planning.
  • Solid grasp of project management software (e.g. JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Trello, etc.).

Extra Points:

  • A degree in computer science, math or engineering
  • Production or development management credits on at least one market-leading title for console, mobile, or PC
  • Experience developing an online multiplayer title
  • Experience in free-to-play and mobile titles
  • Experience developing FPS titles, mobile preferred
