As a Yield Optimization Analyst, you will be part of the core Sales Operations team, using data- driven analysis and business insights to grow ad monetization for our game publisher partners.

Your insights and decision- making will enable us to deliver top- tier ad monetization to our game partners, enabling them to grow their audiences and deliver a premium player experience. This role reports to the Director of Indirect Sales Operations, and will also work closely with many other stakeholders including the Business Performance & Data Science teams.

This role will be based in San Francisco, with minimal travel for collaboration with other global teams.

Your role within Activision Blizzard Media

  • Perform regular analysis of revenue trends and performance to optimise revenue across programmatic channels and ad networks, including pricing adjustments and ongoing waterfall management
  • Gather insights from ad network partners to develop a strong understanding of programmatic revenue drivers and translate this into actionable business recommendations
  • Partner with colleagues in Sales and Operations to ensure tracking, reporting and forecasting of key advertising operating and financial metrics
  • Collaborate with numerous teams across the business to educate & inform stakeholders about performance and trends in the advertising division
  • Provide insights that help to develop the overall indirect sales growth strategy, with differing approaches across markets and partners to maximize revenue

Skills to create thrills

  • BA/BS in a quantitative or related field, such as Economics, Finance, and Marketing
  • 2+ years of experience in programmatic media and yield optimization, or similar roles in a marketing and/or entertainment context
  • Familiarity with key advertising technology platforms and demand networks, and a good understanding of the mobile video advertising landscape
  • Fluent in Excel, with a proven background of creative problem- solving techniques and attention to quantitative detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with various teams in global locations (the core team will be located in San Francisco)
  • Familiarity with products & platforms such as Google Ad Manager / AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, Amazon Publisher Services, Unity Ads, Ironsource, etc.
  • Willingness to learn SQL & business intelligence tools such as Looker, BigQuery, etc.
  • Experience with programmatic technologies such as OpenRTB, Google Open Bidding, etc.
  • Passion for gaming across a variety of platforms (mobile, console, PC, etc.) and knowledge of the gaming industry
