Your Mission

Activision Blizzard has an immediate opening for a Sales Operations Manager to work within our Commercial organization for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This person will manage all aspects of sales operations (both retail and digital) in Asia Pacific and act as a trusted member of the Commercial team in the region. Additionally, this person will play an important role in ensuring we achieve our strategic objectives with key partners in the region through best in class planning, support and execution.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Asset Management

  • Work with international teams to procure storefront assets to meet first party partner deadlines;
  • Asset management and delivery – dissemination of digital marketing assets to APAC partners;
  • Localization of assets for distribution partners (Pre-order, Pre-launch, launch & post launch);

Budgeting & Tracking

  • Gain a deep understanding of the yearly commercial budgets and maintain budget trackers;
  • Work with the digital commercial manager to manage marketing budget spend allocations for digital releases with distribution & agency partners;
  • Gain a detailed understanding of our internal data systems and use these to help inform digital decision making;
  • New release sales/operations forecast – weekly analysis post launch to monitor progress;
  • Responsibility for 12 week rolling sales forecast, tracked against Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/quarterly forecast;
  • Sales / Operations demand forecasting;

Reporting

  • Collate APAC storefront initiatives / reporting and present to internal global stakeholders;
  • Pre-order tracking, competitor info and comp analysis;
  • Updating & distribution of retail and digital sales reports vs AOP weekly;
  • GSD (market data) reporting weekly;

Operations

  • Work with Senior Commercial Manager and Insights & Analytics team to develop overarching digital strategy and execution plans;
  • Be the key contact within the commercial team for product related details (release dates, key beats etc.);
  • Raise purchase orders for digital storefront and marketing activity;
  • Process voucher requests for studio testing and submission forms working with our International teams and APAC first party partners;
  • Stock management – monitoring of weekly physical sales, sell-thru, operations stock on hand;
  • Catalogue management / ongoing weekly;
  • Own the process of product ratings and submissions process working with relevant studio teams to flag any potential risks to rating approval;
  • Cross functional conduit for PR, marketing and communications to distribution partners across the region;
  • Assist in setting up digital POSA at retail across the region;
  • Responsibility for raising all purchase orders in Datavision and Oracle;
  • Responsibility for ordering of codes for pre-order, beta, launch and distribution;
  • Assist in global digital and physical pricing alignment;

Partner Management Support

  • Work with regional first party teams and Commercial Managers to present our store plans in detail and drive our overarching digital strategy;
  • Work with Senior Commercial Manager and Brand teams across APAC on commercial initiatives (new release pricing, promotional campaigns etc);
  • Collaborate with APAC first party teams to ensure our brands and key beats are fully supported on their channels;

Player Profile

Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous Asia Pacific region experience within games, technology, media or entertainment an advantage.
  • Team player with the ability to deliver results.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written to deal with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the retail and digital entertainment market.
  • Strong analytical skills, financial lieracy.
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of first party game consoles.
  • Supply chain knowledge.
