Activision Central Tech works to support our development studios and their titles. Comprising seven main teams, we have many specialties including big data, privacy and security, motion capture and animation pipeline technologies, graphics, build and infrastructure for studio development and data centers, optimization, systems programming and online services including matchmaking and networking. Most of our teams are composed of both engineering and research talent, allowing us to always have an eye on the future. Our talented engineers help with title development and provide valuable knowledge sharing between studios while our researchers are action-oriented and keep a strong connection with the needs of the game studios.
As an Associate Mobile Security Engineer, you will provide expert analysis and robustly engineered solutions to help strengthen our titles against threats. Work closely within the security team to identify the best course of action to proactively protect game features and implement countermeasures.
Identify emerging threats, build remedial plans, and implement countermeasures in a timely manner; monitoring and measuring effectiveness of those efforts.
Be a priority resource, working side-by-side with game engineers.
Perform R&D into both new mobile security techniques and technologies, building a toolbox of robust capabilities.
Support both engineering and security operations efforts.
Familiarity with reverse engineering and advanced debugging.
Ability to identify code vulnerabilities and exploits.
Familiarity with malware detection methods.
Familiarity with mobile app stores and mobile applications distribution processes.
Extensive knowledge of iOS and/or Android operating systems.

Knowledge of malware analysis
Knowledge of industry best practices for protecting applications and writing secure code.
Security-oriented role on previously published games or apps.
Working as part of a broader live operations or game security effort a plus.
