Your Mission

As the Design Artist for User Acquisition, you will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, and use your high-level brand awareness of Activisions Mobile titles and the Mobile space as a whole to ideate and create high quality designs and illustrations, which will be templatized and iterated to fit the evolving needs within marketing. You will work with the Mobile team to analyze and utilize data to affect future assets. You will also develop the overall look in close coordination with the GFX team to ensure a cohesive style throughout all of UA, sometimes creating designs that work both as still images and motion graphics.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of original marketing design content for broadcast, social media and editorial projects
  • Develop, produce and work with versatile templates with an iterative workflow
  • Coordinate with other GFX artist to incorporate your design files into their templates for the creation of customizable animated cinemagraphs
  • Work alongside video editors to enhance video production using your designs
  • Export final deliverables following the formats and best practices of each social media platform
  • Collaborate with the entire team in the production of their toolkits, iterating on their feedback to evolve templates towards efficiency and ease of use
  • Work closely with other designers within the larger marketing creative group
  • Maintain and promote high standards for project and asset management
  • Take part in the coordination process between marketing analytics and creative team
  • Implement feedback from creative leads and customer groups
  • Work within a pipeline involving several different disciplines (motion graphics, video editing & design) and be able to shift seamlessly between them
  • Maintain a library of design templates, versioning for use by a wider team
  • Organize, archive and backup projects within our server structure
  • Execute feedback from creative leads and customer groups
  • Foster creative and technical development amongst team members
  • Troubleshoot Macintosh and Windows workstations
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements

  • A team player, comfortable wearing many hats within a multidisciplinary group
  • 4+ years of graphic design, photography, or another art-related field
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of applications
  • Experience designing on Macintosh and Windows workstations
  • Strong knowledge of typography and layout design
  • Knowledge and passion for gaming and interactive entertainment
  • An eye for the Call of Duty brand esthetic
  • Ability to work with realistic art coupled with modern, clean designs
  • Collaborative style with strong organization skills
  • High attention to detail and adherence to defined brand guidelines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take lead in meetings with clients
  • Resilient, able to translate constructive feedback into design magic
  • Knowledge of marketing principals and social media platforms
  • Willingness and ability to work with Junior level designers and lead projects
  • Confidence in managing own timelines and workloads

Extra Points

  • Experience creating cinemagraphs and animated designs
  • 5+ years of experience; video game industry experience
  • Experience with first person shooters a plus
  • Familiarity with the Call of Duty franchise
