Your Mission

The Descriptive Analytics Analyst will work closely with Activision business stakeholders and various studios partners to deliver insights and performance on our Call Of Duty: Mobile (CoD:M) endevours.As Activision looks towards the next step on analytics and insights, there is a large opportunity to help drive concise KPIs and deep analysis of in-game events and activities. We have a tremendous amount of data on how gamers play our games.We need, however, an analytics expert who has the passion, experience, skills and ability to turn that data into action all driving towards increasing gamer fun.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Generate actionable insights through the analysis of metrics, dashboards and data deep dives. Going beyond describing a graph to advising the business on next steps with data.
  • Develop requirements for, and monitoring of, intuitive dashboards while automating the recurring needs and requests.
  • Providing player insights to Product, Finance & Studio (et. all) stakeholders in support of Live Services (proactively & reactively).
  • Function as an expert on CoD:Mobile business metrics, player & behavioral insights for the organization.
  • Work with the business units, studios and executives to understand their goals and requirements with analytics.
  • Communicate game health and opportunities on CoD:M through regular reporting.
  • Develop new analyses outside of regular reporting that will inform the business how to further drive player acquisition, engagement, monetization, and churn mitigation.
  • Work collaboratively with our data, data science and innovation teams to ensure best practices and knowledge sharing occurs.

Player Profile

  • Strong gaming background with knowledge of industry standard monetization systems and methods.
  • 1-3+ years experience in data lake exploration with at least 1PB of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant business lift through analysis / modeling.
  • Has sucessfully driven the conversations with BU leaders guiding them through analyses.
  • Mobile or Free to Play analysis experience required.
  • Skilled at being able to derive the narrative from the data and tell convincing stories.
  • Strong technical skills with SQL (Redshift/Presto/Spark). R or Python a plus.
  • Strong presentation skills using PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Process-oriented driving toward visibility, accountability, and communication.
  • Team-oriented, ability to build longlasting relationships effectively and tenatiously collaborative.
  • Successful communicator and regular presenter to Executive Leadership.
  • Mandarin language skills a plus
