Hey, nice to meet you! We are looking for a passionate freelance UI Artist/Animator to join our team working on a fresh, casual narrative gaming experience for an upcoming match-3 title!
Your Role at 5th Planet Games
If you love creating novel and interesting evolutions of popular game genres for diverse players to enjoy worldwide, then this is a perfect job for you! Together with your teammates, you will build a unique, fascinating narrative and casual game experience. Your team has the highest degree of creative and technical freedom to build a truly unique game experience.
Responsibilities, at a glance
- Play an active role in shaping the game’s visual style all the way through its production and release
- Design user interface elements that are visually appealing, intuitive and effective
- Build an efficient, functional UI system in Unity, and implement various UI elements
- Shape a direction for user interface animation in the game
- Implement user interface animation using Unity
- Share UI knowledge with your teammates
- Join your dream studio culture in a small, closely-knit team of currently 20 employees!
Key skill requirements
- A skill level equivalent to at least 3 years of industry experience: you have the ability to work independently, but can take constructive feedback. You make the right decisions; have a solid work process and are able to get good results quickly
- Good UI creation experience, and a solid understanding of the basics of visual communication, visual hierarchy, etc.
- Great experience with Unity, especially building UI systems
- Experience with creating UI animations in Unity, when needed with additional tools like DOTween
- Excellent communication skills in English, able to communicate your design process
Bonus points
- You’re comfortable adapting to various visual styles
- You have some graphic design skills and an interest in typography
- Located in Berlin
