Hey there! We are 4A Games – a multinational game development studio famous for the Metro games franchise and a VR adventure Arktika.1. At the heart of the company, there are currently over 150 talented designers, programmers, artists, effects specialists, and writers from all over the world, with diverse and unique backgrounds – bringing countless years of experience in and love towards AAA games.

We're seeking a creative Level Artist to craft photo-realistic indoor and outdoor levels in a game engine (lights setup, instancing, placing particles…). The successful candidate will work in-between Game Design and 3D Art team.

Requirements

Be a ‘pro’ in level creation in modern game engines, like Unreal Engine, Cryengine etc.
Good understanding of light, composition, color-coding.
Experience with any 3D modeling package and Photoshop.
Understanding modular design.
Understanding resource balancing and experience in optimizing scenes.
Multi-lingual proficiency (English is a must, Russian is preferred).

Would be a huge plus, if you have these

Artistic/architectural/engineering education or background.
Versatility in used tools and performed tasks.
Scripting experience with Unity and blueprint experience in Unreal.
Understanding of both modern and legacy real-time rendering tech and lighting principles.
Ability to use any additional software (ZBrush, XNormal, World Machine, Speedtree, Houdini, etc) for the task.
Visual FX experience (particles, postprocess, flares etc).
Hardcore FPS gamer.
