We are seeking an Environment Concept Artist to join our team. The job will require creation of illustrations, sketches, and overpaints, generation of ideas and collection of references. These include environments, structures, mechanisms, and action sequences. The Concept Artist will work closely with the Art Director or Creative Director to create images or boards that convey the look and feel of a game or experience.
Develop visual ideas independently and with the Creative Team.
Visualize ideas through sketches, references, and written descriptions.
Create final publication-ready artwork.
Make overpaints on different stages of development.
Develop narration-based lighting flow.
Play the project often, analyze, and find ways to improve visuals.
Exceptional understanding of mood, lighting, composition, and color-coding, with a keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
Knowledge of and passion for architecture, industrial design, mechanics.
Sense of style, ability to elaborate and explain it to others.
At least 3 years of experience in Concept Art for games.
Knowledge of Photoshop and other painting tools.
Several years of experience as a 2D or 3D Artist.
Passion for atmospheric desolate worlds.
Versatility in used tools and performed tasks, ability to use any additional software for the task.
Hardcore FPS gamer.
Game engine experience (Unity, Unreal, or other).
