We’re seeking a digital marketing innovator to spearhead social media strategy and audience engagement for our corporate brand, owned properties, and brand partnership campaigns. This role oversees the day-to-day planning and execution of all campaigns on social media for the company and includes programming that goes beyond our own accounts to the channels of our collaborators.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller who understands the concept of super fans and thrives on fueling that passion and building positive relationships. Responsibilities:

  • Define strategy for attracting fans and fueling engagement on social media channels and brands tied to 3BLACKDOT
  • Oversee planning and day-to-day social media content rollout and fan interaction for distinct brands and campaigns that target specific audiences within a community.
  • Write social media copy in the tone of influencers, brands and corporate accounts
  • Analyze, assess and share performance across social media channels of individual posts and content, as well as broad content trends
  • Provide brand-building digital ideas to stakeholders with emphasis on fresh approach to visibility and reach for our projects, talent, and brand partners
  • Work closely with marketing and agency teams to incorporate social channels into campaigns and oversee rollout
  • Educate the broader 3BLACKDOT team on new features and offerings in the social media sphere
  • Own best practice and curate the right mix of social media tools and paid social strategies to expedite account growth and operational efficiency
  • Steer creative direction of social media assets created by internal content/design team or any outside partners or vendors
  • Stay across emerging trends, topics, conversations, and the pulse of the community
  • Maximize monetization of social platforms where applicable
  • Act as a primary point of contact for any internal queries around social media platforms, trends, or campaign ideation
  • Feed business development efforts with social partners (FB, IG, Snap, TikTok and others) via account/campaign visibility and opportunities
  • Lead small team of content and community manager specialists
  • Execute and optimize paid social campaigns for brand partners and owned & operated brands

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working in social media management and growing multiple social media accounts. This role will best suit someone coming from entertainment, video games, or geek-culture, or at a lifestyle, celebrity-driven brand or agency focused on Gen Z consumers
  • Able to cite campaign experience of i) launching brand-building campaigns, ii) developing fun and creative content, iii) deciphering fan/community behavior, iv) steering community management
  • Proven understanding of different social media channels and content performance strengths for Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Snap, and Facebook. Familiarity with fan engagement on YouTube, Twitch, Discord and other gaming-centric platforms will be looked on very favorably.
  • Strong gaming understanding is imperative. If no direct experience in gaming, must be able to demonstrate personal passion and exceptional understanding of this space
  • Appreciation for pop culture and what is happening in the zeitgeist and around Gen Z and Y lifestyles
  • Great understanding of paid social strategies and trafficking social ad campaigns
  • Able to operate with agility and be quick-witted as campaigns unfold
  • Track record of authoring compelling and engaging post copy
  • Resourceful, organized, and flexible, with the ability to set and define tasks for yourself
    and the team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to collaborate with various teams. This role must inspire and bring out the best in others without relying on formal hierarchy
  • Adept at working with social media reporting and publishing tools such as Sprout Social to monitor campaign performance and optimize based on key learnings
