3BD’s Talent Director of Influencers will provide strategic thought partnership with and for 3BD creators and brand partners, and represent and support negotiation of talent deals. The ideal candidate must have existing relationships within the gaming industry and community, understand digital platforms, the talent representation landscape, overall media market and where it’s trending. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with both digital talent and help them grow and monetize their audience, and will take a self-starter with strong initiative and drive to hit the ground running in our high-performance environment. This role requires proactivity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and a willingness for non-stop hustle and problem-solving.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the new and now. The Talent Director must be comfortable with change and transformation, show a willingness to try new things and have the adaptability and the intellectual acuity to find the right solutions for 3BD even when those solutions deviate from industry norms.
Responsibilities:
- Work with SVP, Client Strategy & Sales and Talent Management team to provide high value strategy in the gaming, entertainment, development space and serve as a talent relationship manager
- Source and manage talent for both exclusive and non-exclusive representation with the aptitude to delineate who should be folded into 3BD versus activating for one-off opportunities
- Own a roster of high profile talent, and support Talent Managers in their relationships with talent on their respective rosters where necessary
- Consistently provide actionable insights on talent creator trends and market movement: share insights on our Talent roster and be able to communicate opportunities that individual talent and overall talent ecosystem is willing to explore and activate on, partnering with 3BD business owners to determine how we can turn those talents needs into opportunities for 3BD.
- Fully integrate talent management with the other business verticals. Establish regular meetings with 3BD functional leads - Merchandise, Content, Business Development, Client Strategy & Sales, and 3BD Marketing. Partner with each to understand their upcoming needs for talent.
- Work with SVP, Client Strategy & Sales to establish a clear and organized order of operations amongst the team for engaging with talent, including point of contact for each internal department’s initiatives
- Work with SVP, Client Strategy & Sales to set clear criteria for what a ‘healthy’ talent relationship looks like i.e engagement, responsiveness, pass rate on initiatives etc.
- Provide thought leadership for best-in-class infrastructure to service talent (i.e. tech support, offering, etc)
- Have strong and applicable interest in pop culture and knowledge of the esports/gaming landscape across all categories
- Own tracking and reports for performance on talent/production objectives
- Facilitate and coordinate various detail-oriented talent needs; prioritize and manage high volume of work
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in YouTube, Live stream platforms, Influencers and/or the video game industry
- Demonstrated understanding of the digital media landscape, gaming industry; popular games, talent, esports and trending topics
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of adaptability and flexibility
- Strong team player and high team engagement
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
