The Core Technology group is responsible for identifying common problems across the company and building solutions to those problems. What You Will Do

  • Grow and lead a distributed team of 8+ accomplished software engineers
  • Collaborate with Product and Program management teams to guide delivery of the right output at the right time
  • Create an environment and culture for the team to perform at high efficiency
  • Interface with external groups to provide feedback, strategy, and direction
  • Mentor senior engineers with a bias towards innovation and career development
  • Keep your skills fresh by contributing to non-critical path coding or DevOps

What you bring

  • Significant experience directly managing teams building testable, scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant, enterprise-grade systems
  • Recent programming with some of our languages: Go and legacy Java server side, JavaScript, and C++ and for our client work, preferably including automated tests
  • Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • An attitude of achievement when our partners are successful
  • B.S. in Computer Science, or similar

Bonus items

  • Prior work in games
  • Experience with multiple SQL and NoSQL databases at scale
  • Any of: Kubernetes, Istio, Knative, Kafka, GCP or AWS
  • Capable with Perforce and Git
