What We Need:

The successful candidate has a strong passion for game localization and will assist the team in quality management when localizing English games to Japanese. She/he will also review and process bug reports from Asian linguistic testing and be able to proactively provide feedback for quality improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review deliverables in Japanese and provide feedback for improvement
  • Play game builds in Japanese and provide feedback for improvement
  • Attend VO recording sessions and provide creative direction when required
  • Support communication with local vendors in Japan and build a good relationship with them
  • Support the team for age rating submission (CERO) and asset creations
  • Review language bugs and apply the fix accordingly
  • Small translation task from English to Japanese
  • Help Loc manager in various misc. task for localization

Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:

  • Creative writing skill in Japanese essential
  • Can communicate in English both verbally and written essential
  • Familiar with gaming device (PC, Console)
  • Experience as game translators or game LQA testers
  • Creative management experience in VO recording, script writing/rewiring is appreciated
  • Experience in schedule keeping. Deeper project management skill/experience is appreciated
  • General video game knowledge
  • Familiar with MS Word and Excel
