Position Overview:

2K is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and personable Game Security Full-Stack Engineer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is looking to push the boundaries of our Anti-Cheat, Anti-Piracy and Anti-Toxicity efforts to join our globally growing security team.

Applicants will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, communicate with our game studios as well as security vendors, game platforms, etc.

You will help us keep our games fair and protected by developing new and improving existing applications which apply Anti-Piracy and Anti-Cheat products to our games on multiple game platforms and operating systems. You will also support our team of data analysts by optimizing their experience reviewing game and Anti-Cheat telemetry data, set up automation for their use cases and create a web application for easy access to relevant data for customer service agents.

As a passionate gamer you care about the gaming community and ensure that players have the best experience possible.

Equally important to technical skills is the collaboration with game teams and other tech teams to transfer security knowledge.

Your profile and expertise:

  • Frontend Development: Proficient in regular used frameworks, with a focus on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces across devices and browsers.

  • Server-Side Programming: Expertise in C#, Python or Go for building scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems.

  • Code Quality & Team Collaboration: Produce high-quality, maintainable code, and actively participate in code reviews to improve team performance and coding standards.

  • Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: Experience with cloud service providers (e.g. AWS) for deploying, managing and scaling backend services, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

  • Accessibility & Security Compliance: Implement WCAG accessibility standards and security best practices to ensure safe, inclusive applications.

  • Data Integration & SQL: Skilled in integrating multiple data sources and databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), with SQL query and database optimization expertise.

  • Documentation: Create clear, concise documentation for code, APIs, and workflows, ensuring long-term maintainability and security transparency.

What you will do

  • Collect the requirements (aligned with our Technical Program Manager and Coordinator) from game studios (build managers), customer service and game security to apply protection to their game builds and seamlessly integrate into their build pipelines, and access relevant Anti-Cheat and Anti-Toxicity data.

  • Tailor protections to ensure undisrupted performance of the game.

  • Design, prototype, and develop internal tools and test environments to enhance the functionality of our development pipeline, ensuring robust security and operational efficiency.

  • Work with our Security Engineering team for a secure deployment of the applications you create.

Requirements

  • Able to work well with software development, data analysts and our Technical Program Manager and Coordinator.

  • Good foundation in computer science, algorithms, and web design.

  • Excellent and professional communication skills in English (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner.

  • Familiarity with techniques used in games for cheating, fraud and exploitation.

Nice To Have:

  • Reverse engineering skills and understanding of network and web related protocols are a plus.

  • Familiarity with calling third party APIs and data enrichment in general.

  • Familiarity with data lakehouses and pipelines.
