What We Need:

As project lead for the Gearbox slate of project initiatives, the Director of Global Marketing – Core Games will be responsible for developing the brand strategy, partnering with development on multi-year product roadmaps, driving always-on live services, and guiding a global cross-functional organization globally. The Director of Global Marketing will have a proven track record of success and achievement in brand strategy, product and live-service marketing.

What You Will Do:

  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Marketing, Games, you will lead brand strategy and marketing for the complete Gearbox slate of projects
  • Manage and grow team of talented direct reports
  • Set brand strategies, target audience, positioning, and franchise key performance indicators
  • Lead marketing collaboration framework process that evaluates metrics, flags opportunities / risks and drives org to solutions that foster positive player relationships
  • Build, define and evangelize the Brand Strategy Framework for Games
  • Work with go to market teams to ensure campaign is on brand and on strategy
  • Provide product / competitive expertise for Development, Marketing, and Publishing teams
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics and user feedback on a real-time basis to determine user trends and behavior
  • Incorporate best practices derived from analysis of in-game data, sales numbers and financial metrics and communicate key takeaways to management
  • Deliver a consistent voice of the player in concept to develop through to final production and live service execution
  • Partner with development team on multi-year franchise roadmaps
  • Regularly partner, present and report to studio leadership and stakeholders on marketing strategies, plans, and findings
  • Work with the studio game teams and develops strategic plan around user engagement and acquisition, and helps execute against the plan and tactics
  • Drive live service player engagement via integrated dev / analytics / marketing / regional efforts

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

  • Business oriented marketing leader with a proven track record of success and achievement in brand strategy, product, and live-service marketing
  • Minimum 8+ years experience in marketing roles at top tier companies - mobile or interactive entertainment, CPG, consulting, or e-commerce
  • Experience in all major areas of marketing, including mobile, online and offline, brand and product marketing, search, CRM, social media, and PR
  • Project Management and coordination across functional groups, studios and external partners / licensors
  • Strong expertise / understanding of mobile, consumer live service, e-commerce
  • Experience working with licensors / licensees
  • Ability to build relationships at Executive level
  • BA / BS from a top-tier institution and MBA preferred
  • Experience leading, growing and developing a team of direct reports
  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, flexible environment
  • Passion for video games preferred
