What We Need:

2K is looking for an experienced Community & Content Manager – someone that has worked on mobile game marketing campaigns and possesses the knowhow and strong ownership to execute campaigns and make an impact as we grow and expand our mobile team and games portfolio. You’ll be primarily focusing on engaging with mobile game consumers and communities, formulating community strategy, managing content, and maintaining relationships with key community advocates and influencers in Japan.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • In close collaboration with mobile operations and marketing leads, create and execute community management strategies for 2K’s most beloved titles as well as upcoming new titles
  • Foster, grow and manage our community outreach, with the objective to cultivate and maintain relationships within the player communities online/social channels and create fans for life
  • Plan strategies to maximize social media reach and influence with our community members
  • Monitor, track and report consumer discussions and sentiment across company social media channels and app store reviews, etc. and use data to formulate actionable recommendations for ongoing and future community outreach initiatives, messaging and promotions to both existing and potential new customers
  • Manages the production and delivery of various content formats including video, creatives, written content etc. to support mobile game operations, localization and marketing teams
  • Manages external content agencies to deliver high-quality content
  • Able to support in-game & community news administration

Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:

We’re looking for a community & content manager who is outgoing, self motivated and passionate about growing online gaming communities, looking after digital content and game news administration. The ideal candidate must be very familiar with all social channels and live-streaming platforms (Twitter, LINE, Instagram, etc.), able to have a good eye for digital content and formulate communities’ strategies to drive engagement & loyalty. Being a creative problem solver and self-starter with passion and enthusiasm to drive the results for meaningful changes are also going to be very critical for this role.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Games, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of game community management experience (Free to Play games are a plus!)
  • Have created and executed community-focused marketing campaigns specifically designed to foster, grow and promote the loyalty and passion of your project’s community
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a portfolio of published professional work; ideally in a variety of mediums including long-form and social media
  • Experience and practical knowledge of all major social media platforms (Twitter, LINE, Instagram, etc.) and supporting applications
  • A self-starter with proven ability to work both in a team setting, as well as independently to drive campaign efforts as needed
  • Possess a good eye for digital content
  • Solid understanding of mobile games with a passion for Free to Play; Passionate about gaming, be able to speak gamer-lingo
  • Experience in operating game management tools
  • Good knowledge of graphic and video-editing tools such as Photoshop and Premiere
  • Experience in working with external vendors including designer and agency partners
