What We Need:

We are looking for individuals with a technical unreal background and a good artistic eye. That said, we are also looking for individuals with an excitement for gaming and its community because it requires a high level of familiarity and talent in order to give quality and polish to our finished assets. Being able to balance the tech side and the creative side is a huge bonus.

The 3D Artist needs to be passionate, patient, and an exceptional team player, with the ability to pivot quickly to keep up with our fast-paced workflow. Building custom screenshots and video takes creativity and technical skill and the ability to listen to feedback. Along with all those premium qualities, the 3D Artist will work hand in hand with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and the Lead Media Artist where professional and transparent communication is paramount to our success.

What You Will Do:

The 3D Artist is responsible for knowing 2K’s biggest upcoming AAA games and crafting custom screenshots, transparent renders and video footage for marketing purposes. The artist will collaborate with other team members to create unique assets in order to effectively demonstrate the action, style, and beauty of the game. On top of this, the 3D Artist will assist the lead Media Artist in post work, file organization, and artistic feedback.

  • Highly developed understanding of composition, lighting, and color.
  • Skilled in photography and videography
  • Impeccable quality and consistency of asset creation
  • Technically proficient with Unreal, Maya, and Adobe software
  • Familiar with many game genres from FPS to RPG, and everything in between.
  • Capable of asset creation ranging from Pre to Post work
  • Work on files created by dev teams and teammates
  • Show teamwork skills with the ability to give and take constructive feedback
  • Be flexible and resourceful when working with in-development game assets
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot obstacles

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

We are looking for veteran gamers and enthusiastic artists who show great imagination and skill for creating high quality video and image assets. Someone with an incredible eye for composition and visual storytelling is what we are after. We need someone who can set the bar high and challenge themselves to always better their skills. Understanding photography, videography, or any skills in additional Adobe Creative Suite applications is also highly desired. We also want someone who is great at working with other people in a fast-paced environment.

  • Create bespoke screenshots and video built in the project specific game engine
  • Design original animation posing and props in Maya
  • Edit in game animations for custom video requests
  • Retouch still assets as necessary in Photoshop
  • Edit and export finalized video clips in After Effects for Video Production teams.
  • Work with feedback to help meet guidelines and changes from Marketing and PD teams
  • Locate and organize in game files for Brand and Video Production
  • Work with lead Media Artist to create custom project workflows for different game titles
